  • Option of every 3 or 6 months.

  • Save mental bandwidth, time, and money.

  • No additional fees or long-term commitment requirements.

Thank You

We do our best to respond to everyone in less than one work day, and we look forward to helping you restore your edges! We are a small, local business, and we value time with family over time in front of a computer. For that reason, if you need an even quicker response, try sending us a text at (928) 476-0590.

Sharpening Automated

You are making a brilliant move to automate a life of sharp, effecient knives and/or tools. Whether you want to be sharpened up every 6 months or every 3 months, we will keep track of the interval and make it as effortless and as smooth as possible for you to keep your knives and tools in peak condition.A FEW KEY POINTS

  • You don't have to sharpen the same items every time. You will probably want your 2 or 3 favorite knives done each time, but swap in your pruning shears in the spring and your scissors or bread knife when they mysteriously lose their edge after your kids borrow them.

  • We try to keep communication as simple as possible for you. You will receive a text in the week leading up to your next sharpening to simply remind you which day we will be coming by. Otherwise, we won't be bothering you!

  • We love getting to know our customers and keeping things personal, but we also understand that your schedule may not always align with ours. What that means is that you don't even have to be home when we come to sharpen you up if you prefer! Many folks like to wrap up their knives in a towel or box and leave them somewhere safe but accessible, especially when they aren't planning to be home during the day. You can tell us where to find them, and we will sharpen them and put them back where we found them.

  • After we sharpen and return your items, payment can be completed by Venmo or through an emailed invoice that can be paid online.

ONE-TIME APPOINTMENTS
For our friends that just want a one-time mobile sharpening appointment, we request that you have at least 6 items to be sharpened.
If you don't have 6 items in need of sharpening, we LOVE it when people join forces with their neighbors. Plus, your neighbors will thank you when they realize just how dull their knives were and that they were suffering unnecessarily from inefficient blades! We love community, and therefore we love it when our sharpening results in a neighborhood sharpening party and camaraderie.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What kind of methods do you use to sharpen my blades?
It totally depends on the type of blade and the primary use of the blade. A chef's knife that is used for cutting vegetables is going to need a very different edge than a hunting knife that is used for field dressing game. We have a wide variety of tools and abrasives that we use to match the needs of each blade and owner. If you have questions or would like to talk through specifics regarding your particular knives and needs, we are happy to chat with you in detail and make a plan for your particular needs.
I had a bad experience where another sharpener ground off a ton of material from my knife. Will you be doing the same thing?
No! Our goal is to remove as little material as possible while achieving an excellent edge. That is why we sharpen manually with stones, or use special, low RPM tools to ensure nothing gets overheated and to ensure that we can closely monitor material removal so that we only remove what is absolutely necessary to get a fresh, cleanly apexed bevel.
Can you sharpen Japanese-style knives?
Yes! Because most Japanese style knives have a harder steel and a much lower bevel angle, we do have to charge $15/knife instead of our standard $10.
My knife has a broken tip or chips in the blade. Can you fix it?
Yes! Obviously, we can't add material to fill in the chips, but we can grind past the damage, and then we will reprofile the knife back to it's original shape with a fresh edge.
I'm uncomfortable having someone come to my house for sharpening. Is there somewhere I can drop off my knife/knives?
Yes, shoot us a text or give us a call, and we can set up a time for you to drop off your items to us in Prescott.
